Created two years after Community Living Corporation, the CLC Foundation Inc. is a distinct and separate 501(c)3 not for profit corporation.  Because it is a completely separate entity, it has  its own Board of Directors and Executive Director.  The founders of CLC saw a need to create the Foundation for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life for CLC consumers by sponsoring special events, funding activities and providing funds for those things that greatly increase the quality of life but are not available through public funding.  Revenues are raised by contributions, corporate matching donations, as well as traditional fund raising activities.

CLC Foundation administers and manages special needs trusts for people with disabilities.  In 2008 the CLC Foundation managed special needs trusts of various types in excess of $12 million dollars. The trust program is open to all disabled people whether or not they reside at CLC.
